Climbing magazines always seem to have numerous articles about someone “sending” a 5.14d or other such high end route. We’re not that talented. The only thing we’ve ever “sent” was a check to the IRS to pay our taxes. Well, we want to “send” you to Joshua Tree National Park for some fun rock climbing adventures in the sun. We think climbing is relative (except our relatives won’t climb with us!). Your first 5.7 or 5.8 is just as challenging and exciting to you as those bigger numbers are to the climber on the cover of a climbing magazine. In planning this Trad Guide to Joshua Tree climbing, we have compiled a collection of our favorite beginning and intermediate rock routes. We’ve had the most fun climbing these; no run-out psycho stuff, just plain, good, old fashioned traditional (“Trad”) climbing. Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Our motto: Think Trad, not Rad! Buy an AUTOGRAPHED copy directly from the Authors (support your fellow climbers!) Take a look at some sample pages from The TRAD Guide to Joshua Tree
